There isn’t really much to change here, but Age of Extinction still needs a rewrite. The film was also ridiculously long, dragged out, and had way too much padding going on. It actually had a compelling if drawn out story, improved special effects, the Transformers were given a little more personality, and performances were good.

Visit to view Hasbro's official Transformers website or visit Takara Tomy's official Transformers website. The fourth live action Transformers movie wasn’t that bad. Transformers® is a registered trademark of Hasbro, Inc. It is not associated with nor endorsed by Hasbro or Takara Tomy. Plus, it's part of the actual character model, so we can't blame Hasbro for this one.Īlso, surely a car Autobot that doesn't follow the "Back of car becomes legs, front of car becomes chest, doors become wings" formula is a good thing? It sets him apart from the other robots and gives him a unique shape, in addition to being somewhere to store the bits of car. Crosshair's trenchcoat-kibble is a similar phenomenon. Starscream's wings and shoulder vanes, Prowl's door wings and Shrapnel's "horns" are all technically kibble, and yet they are fundamental parts of the character's design- they give them the distinctive look that we all love. It can help change the sillohuette of a figure and make it look like more than just a humanoid robot.

Kibble isn't always necessarily a bad thing. seeing it as yet another lazy-butt shellformer. Kudos for fooling the community into thinking the kibble looks 'cool' vs. They engineered the figure so that people aren't calling it 'horrible, ugly, obvious, brick-like kibble', they're calling it a 'trenchcoat'. Shockwave7 wrote:Well I have to give props to them for Crosshairs. Unless Keanu Reeves were voicing the character and they did this design as an intentional inside joke, this is just a lame idea and it transfers horribly on the toy. The whole "trench-coat" thing going on isn't helping the situation either. They would have gotten a second purchase out of me with this one if it weren't such an obnoxious color. I'm honestly trying really hard to lighten up a bit on my attitude about the movie and the figures and not be such a royal prick about the whole thing but Hasbro isn't throwing me any bones here. I'd be better off just picking up a model kit of the vehicles. I have to admit that some of the alt modes are growing on me but I just can't bring myself to pick up any of these characters up when I not only plan on never transforming them (the 'bot modes are a friggin' joke on pretty much all of them) but their colors are so abhorrent that I would be tempted to hit the paint aisle on the way to the cash register. It's a sad state of affairs when a version of Bumblebee can actually blend in better than any other bot on both teams. I suppose we can drop the "In Disguise" portion out of "Robots in Disguise" for this one. It's called an aversion! Sweet mother of Primus but that's just one obnoxiously LOUD colored figure.

Really like his vehicle mode, plus I have a thing for green. Nerv103 wrote:This is the first movie toy I will probably pick up. After becoming Grimmaster, he became a Styracosaurus.
